The banking sector in India always recruits people in masses which does not necessarily indicate a compromise on the quality. The deserving candidates not only have to prepare hard for the exam but also know the nitty gritty of it. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is the organisation which conducts exams for its participating banks and institutions. These banks and institutions are in need of talented employees every year. So they publish vacancies for different posts like PO, clerk, RRB, and Specialist Officer.
Students mostly keep on searching about the preparation of IBPS PO 2016 examination. But firstly, they should have knowledge about the exam. It is more valuable to know each and everything about the exam before starting the preparation.

There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer attempted.
IBPS PO 2016 Interview: The candidates who pass the CWE are qualified for the interview. They have to score 40% marks (General) and 35% marks (SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD) in the interview to get the provisional letter.
The Candidates of IBPS PO 2016 exam should focus on all the subjects as all have equal importance in the exam. So, here we are discussing subject wise preparation:
Reasoning: This subject can push your overall score too high. It normally consumes less time if the candidate solves the paragraph puzzles with full concentration. Normally 5 questions related to a paragraph are asked. Reasoning should be the killer part of your preparation.
General Awareness: Under this subject, most of the questions are asked related to current affairs. One should be updated with the news of banking and finance sector. To remain updated, it is essential to read newspapers and magazines.
English: It is a scoring subject if your basics are clear. Reading English newspapers and novels can help a lot. One should focus on topics such as prepositions, sentence rearrangement, phrases and idioms, editing, comprehension passage, etc.
Quantitative Aptitude: It is the most time-consuming section as it contains the calculation questions. A major part of it is data interpretation which includes over 15 items. So, it is important to give more attention to tabulation, pie chart, line chart, bar chart, etc.
Computer Knowledge: Most candidates neglect this subject which proves to be fatal. One should develop computer skills and basic computer knowledge in order to crack this subject. MS office covers a major part of this subject.
